InstantGold: Practical Example
The telesales operator: When a telesales operator contacts a prospect who requests a visit, a few different elements in GoldMine typically need to be updated. Depending on the complexity of the business process, there can easily be as many as five different things to do, for example:
- Schedule a call for the sales person.
- Schedule a follow up action for themselves to enquire from the sales person if any further action is needed, a few days later.
- Change the prospect status from an ‘Unqualified’ lead to a ‘Qualified’ lead.
- Change the campaign status from ‘Unqualified lead’ to ‘Lead passed to account manager’.
- Schedule a literature request to send the prospect a company brochure and terms of business.
InstantGold manages this process by defining events in the user.ini file. This enables InstantGold to pre-populate a screen, thereby saving the telesales operator the effort, but also preventing errors in the process. In addition, InstantGold then daisy-chain links subsequent related events, so that all the above mentioned tasks are completed.
The benefits: InstantGold automates the data entry process, thereby directly impacting on the amount of training a new telesales operator requires. It also prevents errors and omissions, since tasks logically follow on from each other – all triggered by a single click to start the particular InstantGold session.
Other features: InstantGold creates events and forecast sales, but also automates the updating of fields in CONTACT1 and CONTACT2. Read the full datasheet or view the demonstration video to learn more.
